Gina in Crochet One-Skein Wonders for Babies

I’ve been checking my mail almost everyday for the last couple of weeks. Finally, my copy of the newly published “Crochet One-Skein Wonders for Babies” is in the mailbox today.  I still haven’t got over the excitement — the short sleeve version of my Gina floral lace baby/child cardigan is in the book, beautifully illustrated on page 123. It’s absolutely delightful to see the cardigan looking so adorable on the little cute model.

Thanks Gina, I wouldn’t have done it without your encouragement and help! (And yes, the little cardi is named after the wonderful Gina, my Ravelry friend.)

New Kits in Town!

Two of my babies —  Iris and Jennifer — are now new “kits” in town!  The kits (pattern + yarn) are now available for purchase on the Craftsy site – the Iris kit can be purchased here, and the Jennifer kit is here with many colors to choose from.

Iris – fern lace loop scarf (knit)

Iris - fern lace loop scarfFeaturing a classic fern lace stitch pattern and scalloped edges, this knitted loop scarf makes an elegant accessory to your wardrobe. Usage of soft contrasting colors and variation in the fern lace stitches set off the eye-catching lace border beautifully. This pattern is equally lovely with single color or tonal yarn. Knitted in the round, the scarf can be easily adjusted in circumference and width to suit your needs.

To learn more about this pattern and to purchase, please find it here at my Ravelry Store.

Jennifer – floral lace cowl (crochet)

Jennifer - floral lace loop scarf

This crochet pattern offers 4 fashionable sizes:

  • a chic short version that works up quickly,
  • an elegant long version you can adorn with a favourite pin,
  • a versatile extra long version that serves as a loop scarf, and
  • a cozy oversize version that can also function as a shoulder warmer.

The flexible pattern can also be adjusted in circumference, as well as in width, to suit your needs.

Gina & Stitch, not Lilo & Stitch

Thanks to Tracy for sending me the photos of this beautiful Gina cardigan she made.  It is size 3Y, and being showcased as a shop model for “Stitch”, a lovely store located in the East Village, Des Moines, Iowa.  Don’t you love the color and the whole ensemble?  It’s so fresh and beautiful!  I think Lilo & Stitch will agree.
